Presented by: Jonah Swick, Oasis Construction and

The Superadobe Technology, developed and tested in Hesperia, California, is a highly efficient, cost effective and eco-friendly means of construction. Jonah has worked with the California Institute of Earth Art and Architecture (www.calearth.org), founded by Nader Khalili in 1986, to help develop and construct Superadobe and earth architecture projects. Jonah will discuss the benefits and challenges posed by this unique construction process.
In addition, Jeff and Jonah are currently working on a Superadobe design for the local non-profit organization Uncommon Good, located in Claremont, California, and will share their real life experiences in pioneering new environmental technologies. Nancy Mintie, Executive Director and Mike Peel, Development Director, Uncommon Good, will discuss why their organization chose the Superadobe Technology method for their new facility. Mike Peel is also the Chair for the USGBC-IE Emerging Green Builders (EGB).
